A resume’s purpose is typically to secure a job interview. This is accomplished through illustrating that you are the best candidate to fill an employer’s specific hiring needs. Therefore, rather than a generic “one size fits all” resume, consider each specific employer as a unique audience.
Are you applying for one type of position or different types? Are your prospective employers different in their cultures, size and philosophies? You may need several versions of your resume, each tailored to a specific opportunity and employer.
