Other Sections Other possible sections to include on your resume may be licenses/certifications, training, skills such as languages and computer skills, publications, projects, community service, awards, or professional associations. The key is to ask yourself what your audience will deem important. Personal information such as hobbies, date of birth, health, or marital status should be left off. Information about political or religious affiliations can be helpful or detrimental, depending on the audience, so use your discretion. Depending on the scope of your education and work experience, a two-page resume is acceptable. Highlight the resume’s most important components on the first page. Before submitting your resume to an employer, have a professional career counselor from Walden’s Career Services Center or someone else review it with a critical eye for content, form and relevance to the specific job and audience.
