Typically, the job interview is the single most important factor in a hiring decision. Therefore, preparation for your interview is key. Employers are evaluating your competence to do the job, your interest and enthusiasm regarding the position, and your potential fit in the organization. Therefore, put your best foot forward throughout the interview process through:
- thoroughly researching the employer
- mapping your qualifications most relevant to the position
- devising approaches to possible interview questions
- composing questions to ask the employer
- following-up after the interview
